IFR Extra can now make available specialist biomass pre-treatment & yeast handling equipment following the successful award of funding from the East of England Development Agency.  

A steam explosion pilot plant and automatic yeast screening and propagation facility have been installed at the Institute of Food Research.  The steam explosion pilot plant is unique to the UK and complements the region’s significant biorenewables capabilities.
