About us
IFR Extra
is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Institute of Food Research (IFR) and is based on the Norwich Research Park
IFR is internationally recognised for its high quality strategic and applied research in food, diet and health and now we are making this expertise available to small and medium-sized companies in the food industry. We realise that these companies often demand a rapid response and IFR Extra has been set up to provide such a service.
To enable us to do this we have our own laboratories, management team and dedicated staff but can also call on the experts and resources of the IFR. We are able to put together multidisciplinary teams quickly which can be enhanced by expertise and capabilities of our carefully selected partners on the Norwich Research Park or elsewhere.
We will undertake short-term applied food research, trouble-shooting and specialist analysis making IFR's expertise available and affordable to all companies. We can also provide access to food experts on a consultancy basis.
